Hey Eren, this is a great piece that I really needed! I really loved the parable of light you used. It really put me in a more positive headspace. You’re right! We can’t control the darkness that’s spreading now, but we can beacons of light for others in their times of need. We can do our best to spread positivity without feeling guilty about things we can’t control. Thank you so much for posting this! Your newsletter is awesome by the way! Just subscribed! :)

I love the story too. I find it very freeing when I find any story that reminds me how I can personally make a difference in the world. Sometimes we feel like a speck of dust that can't influence the world -- but that's not true. I believe the origin of this story is from the Bible, where Jesus talks about spreading the word of God. But the sentiment is the same. Each and every one of us can be a crucial part in spreading a message we believe in.

Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm so glad you enjoy the newsletter. It's great to have you in the community.

I love illuminating the dark to get anything good out of it. The moon always makes our night beautiful. Thanks

Beatiful post. I particularly loved this sentiment: "Instead of trying to cut off oxygen to evil, provide oxygen to smaller parties who do good. ... Minimise negative actions and maximise positive ones?"

As the Americans say, if not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

"Don't be part of the problem" you say. Help towards solutions even if it feels like they are only solving "small" problems.

I've definitely been feeling this too, I love the idea of spreading the goodness and light we have to help lift the darkness that others may suffer from 💛
